Brenda Perrin is the General Manager of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Fredericton, NB. With almost 20 years of progressive growth and experience in the hospitality industry, she has built proactive, empowered teams with a focus on exceptional guest experiences by being a hands-on leader.

Getting a start as a Room Attendant at the Country Inn & Suites By Carlson in Fredericton during her first year at St. Thomas University, she worked her way through almost every role in the Select Service brand, up to Front Office Supervisor. Encouraged by her mentor to apply for the role of General Manager at the affiliated property in Dartmouth, she moved to Nova Scotia in 2001 to take on the challenge of a new city, new role, and new ownership company.

Spending 12 years in Dartmouth as General Manager of Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, many accolades were garnered by the team of hospitality professionals she built. The highlights of those included General Manager of the Year (2003), and the President’s Award, earned by the top 10% of Carlson Hotels Worldwide franchised properties for guest satisfaction, problem resolution, and brand standards compliance scores (2007 and 2009).

After overseeing the conversion from Country Inn & Suites to Travelodge Suites, and its subsequent renovations in 2011, she moved back to New Brunswick in 2013 to manage the brand’s Saint John location. Not long after, she accepted an amazing opportunity back home in Fredericton: General Manager of the Lakeview Inn & Suites, newly purchased by DP Murphy Hotels & Resorts, which was under renovation for conversion to Holiday Inn Express & Suites. Within 6 months of the IHG conversion in 2014, the hotel earned’s #1 position for guest satisfaction in Fredericton, and the #3 hotel in all of New Brunswick, based on real guest reviews.
